This has been a disappointing weekend with the exception of the wedding we attended Saturday, which was beautiful. The reception was at the Drees Pavilion in a park overlooking the Ohio River and Cincinnati skyline. I'll post pics of that soon.

The movie in the park was cancelled with no notice. So we showed up with a few other families to an empty park wondering where everyone was. Helena was not happy.

We got another offer on our house that looks solid, so we went ahead with the paperwork on the house we've been trying to buy. Remember that we had a deal where if we kept our earnest money on their house they'd honor our contract when we found another buyer for our house. Anyway, they found another buyer for their house the same day. But the only deal they came up with was verbal and there was no earnest money exchanged, so we should get the house right?

Apparently their realtor isn't sure what to do so the homeowners have backed out of the decision, leaving it up to their realtor and her manager. We'll hear more this afternoon. Hopefully it'll be good news, otherwise we'll probably have to be out of our house before we find another one that we like.

Update

We lost the house. Their realtor now denies ever getting any of the paperwork our realtor sent her about keeping our contract. And our realtor's manager does not want to pursue the issue. I'm beyond words at the underhandedness of it all. We now may not have a house to move into when we sell ours.
