So we found another house we could agree on. It's a nice home a little closer to town than I would have liked, but it's in really good shape and in a better neighborhood than I expected. The neighborhood is a few hundred feet from a main vein of traffic for the city lined with all kinds of businesses. In fact there is a strip mall and large reception hall hidden by trees on the other side of our back fence.
But the weird thing is the block is only accessible from the opposite direction and ends up being a little "pocket neighborhood" walled off from everything. And to top it off, the next door neighbors have 3 kids near Helena's age. Which will give her something to do and us some quiet time.
So far our house sale is going fine even after the inspection, so we're still crossing our fingers. With luck we should be in a new house by the second week of June.
