How's your Circuit City doing?

Circuit City announced they were closing all U.S. locations yesterday, so today I decided to see what kind of deals I might be able to get at our local store. At 3 pm it was already more busy than I've ever seen this particular store which raised my spirits that I might find some hidden gems. But scanning the shelves told a different story.

There were signs outside saying items were 30% off but the only things I saw discounted that much were the AV cables, which are already marked up so much it would take sherpas to go higher. Most everything was about 10%, which at Circuit City's prices means still more than most online stores. This wasn't stopping everyone though as the checkout lines were backed up into the CD aisles.

I overheard one saleperson telling a customer that they were still receiving stock so it sounds like it's going to be a while before they get down to the gritty bone scraping deals. For now, I can wait.

The Circuit City @ Montebello, California has max 30% off on select items (items that noone wants).

Most items have been marked up.

There was a huge line at the initial liquidation sale, but 1 or 2 people (out of HUNDREDS) ended up buying anything.

What a shit company.

and 9 times out of 10 when I bought something online for in-store pickup, they didn't have the merchandise set aside, so they had to give me the $24 gift card. I just don't understand how they could shoot themselves in the head like that.
