So Helena's been really well behaved for Amy the last few days, which prompted her to let H have a "Whatever Helena Wants to Do Day." Rather than get ice cream or go a toy shopping spree, Helena decided she wanted a real haircut, donating her hair to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that makes wigs for kids who've lost their hair. In order to donate, you have to be able to cut at least 10 inches from your hair. Since she hasn't had more than a trim in her 5 years, the cut was pretty drastic. Her hair went from this to this.
Amy's still trying to adjust, but I think after the next few baths where H's hair only takes 5 seconds to wash and dry, she'll get used to it. And we're both extremely proud of her.
